soldiers die ... but we must resist
Back here on the blog after a while 'time. In fact, of all things that I do this blog has taken a leading role emarginale in my life on the internet. However, sometimes I remember and I write about. It 's always my official blog is not it? ;)
Yesterday, returning from school, put on RAI-3 as is tradition to hear the news. Record Cover: 6 paratroopers killed in Kabul in the peace mission . We start well, I thought.
I'm not going to write the dynamics of the facts. After all the news we have the well told and documented. This that worries me is the reaction that this story did. The mourning has taken place from across the political spectrum: all this seems more than obvious. The politicians should represent us, so we are also in this moment of pain for us.
What puzzles me are the statements. Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi said, and hinted that troops remain in Afghanistan for a long time. Hopefully by Christmas. We know that will not happen. And besides, what could we expect? A Defense Minister La Russa said that surrender now would be to give in to terrorists?
From the left, however, there were, of course, calls to withdraw troops from the Asian country. As we marvel at the beautiful words that I is not surprised. Today's policy has become a game of roles. If I say yes you have to say NO. Just to make amends, I remember that when they were left to the government such a thing happened on the troops and did nothing.
The problem is not that. The war cost! Costa economically, certainly, but still costs more than lives. Yesterday they left 6 guys. As can speak well, these 6 guys will never come again. Do you understand? These have left wives and children ... but you and what do you do? Speak up!
I like it. I wonder how many of you, dear politicians, have made nepotism, by arriving at a command post at a military to fight and instead had to be sudarsi career as God commands? Now at least we have the goodness to remain silent and to respect the grief of these people. If it is a mission of peace, why do people die? Why can not these guys stay in our country to safeguard our security, rather than go abroad to protect that of others?
I'll be selfish but ... The blind can not help the lame to walk :-)
